What DriversLog does

Automatic drive detection. DriversLog uses on-device motion and location services to detect when you start driving and records your route in the background. No button to press, no app to open. Every drive is captured with distance, route, start time, and duration.

Tax deductions with official rates. Mileage is calculated using official government rates from 10 countries — IRS standard mileage rates, HMRC mileage allowance payments, CRA automobile allowance, ATO cents-per-kilometre, IRD, SKAT, Skatteverket, Skatteetaten, BMF, and Belastingdienst — including tier thresholds, annual caps, and fiscal years.

Private by default. Your location history stays on your iPhone by default. No account required. Optional iCloud sync lets you back up across your own Apple devices — off by default, using your personal iCloud, not a third-party server.

Unlimited and honest. Unlimited trips, automatic tracking, free PDF and CSV export, and free CSV import from MileIQ, Everlance, and other apps — free forever. Pro adds power features like car Bluetooth trigger, auto-classification, widgets, and multi-vehicle support.

Who DriversLog is for

Freelancers and self-employed. Track every business mile for Schedule C deductions without remembering to start and stop a tracker. Export IRS-ready PDF reports at tax time.

Employees claiming reimbursement. Generate employer reimbursement PDFs with signature lines, mileage totals, and route details — free, no subscription.

Drivers switching from MileIQ. Import your full MileIQ history via CSV in one tap. DriversLog's free tier covers what MileIQ charges $139.99/year for. See the comparison →

Frequently asked questions

Is DriversLog really free? Yes. Unlimited drives, automatic tracking, PDF + CSV export, and CSV import are all free forever. The optional Pro upgrade adds convenience features — nothing in the free tier ever goes behind the paywall.

Which countries does DriversLog support? Official mileage rates from 10 countries: US (IRS), UK (HMRC), Canada (CRA), Australia (ATO), New Zealand (IRD), Denmark (SKAT), Sweden (Skatteverket), Norway (Skatteetaten), Germany (BMF), and Netherlands (Belastingdienst). Each with correct tier thresholds, annual caps, and fiscal year handling.

Where does my data go? It stays on your iPhone by default. You can optionally enable iCloud sync to back up your drives across your own Apple devices. No third-party server ever sees your location history.

Can I import from MileIQ or other apps? Yes. DriversLog reads CSV files from MileIQ, Everlance, Hurdlr, TripLog, and others. Go to Settings → Import trips from CSV.

Does it work offline? Fully. Drive detection, GPS recording, and mileage calculation all happen on-device. No internet needed.

How does Pro pricing work? Pro is available as a one-time lifetime purchase ($59.99), annual ($29.99/year), or monthly ($3.99/month). Your renewal price is locked — it never rises after you subscribe.
